Three Little Birds,

playingforchange.com

Three Little Birds.  #Bob Marley’s tune ! This beautiful and calming video is what Americans need now, in the face of #Ebola. No way will mankind stand by and let a sickness consume all confidence in our future. And those who try their best to inflict panic and fear should be ashamed of themselves. The worlds heroes are the physicians who go to the aid of all people in need. This is the true test of our humanity on earth. We must get this right to be allowed to move to the next task of climate change and it’s effects on our lives. God has put many beautiful people on earth and we must never abandon any of them, ever.

Here again is an excellent film piece of just fabulous editing, synchronicity and cinematography. And it is a message of calm to us all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Please leave a comment to let me know how this video makes you feel.

Eric Bibb with Ale Möller, Knut Reiersrud & Eric Bibb – Folk- och världsmusikgalan i Gävle, april 2013.  Just struck me as a fantastic performance. The fabulous blues sounds and vocals by these artists were absolutely captivating. Awesome blues gospel sound. Eric Bibb is one of the best bluesmen I have ever witnessed. He is upbeat and full of positive energy.  But flanked by these gentlemen, Ale Möller and Knut Reiersrud, incredible acoutic dynamics. Please, I hope you can use great output earphone sound gear when experiencing this truly delicious performance. I have never enjoyed three unique instments quite as much as I did these. I hope you enjoy them as well.  Also, the second video is a total winner! Some of the best gospel blues music Ive ever heard.

Daryl Hall has been the most clever artist in the digital realm. He is in continuous “pay it forward” mode.  He collaborates as no one can or does, all for you, on line, no charge.  His consistency in hitting all the targets when choosing guest artists is flawless.  Daryl is humble and makes you feel like he has known you personally for years and hung out with you in High School . He communicates so well it is overwhelming at times. He makes every one feel “cool”. You can see that in the enjoyment of his fellow band members and guests.  If you need a shot of  youthful good feeling, go to www.lfdh.com. I will highlight his performances that I love and I truly hope you enjoy them as well.  And here are two, both done with Rumer,   I REALLY enjoy, I hope you do too !
I CAN”T GO FOR THAT.

I CAN’T LET AMERICA MISS THIS OUTSTANDING PIANO MAN. Over the next few posts I am going to try to get this man into the place he deserves, Music History. His style is phenomenal and a bull work for many who he has performed with. I’ll let him do the talking. Then, for the next couple of posts, it will be on some of those outstanding performances. Chuck Leavell.

ERIC CLAPTON Live at Budokan, Tokyo, 2001 (Full Concert)

Just can’t say enough about Eric Clapton. But this was most outstanding. If you only see one Eric Clapton concert, you need to make it this one. And I warn you, it is long. See, that is the trouble today. People now have the attention span of a flea.

“But”, they say, “say, I’m so busy” as their excuse for letting the best in life pass them right on by. They flip the onus to you, saying mean shit like, “well, at least I have a life” ! And …cut to smirk. Well, it is a known fact” all good things come to those who wait. Patients are a…? If you had  paid good money to see a concert of this caliber, you would say, hey, what a great break in the action, and bonus, you’d witness a true great perform at his absolute zenith. So,  I say once more, miss this and I feel really bad, for you. But, if you use some form of earphones, put down your smartphone and just go with the flow, the same feeling you might get from a great movie, a classic book you will experience here. By the way, he ends this with a classic Cream tune, and another tune that will have you feeling like a kid again. Can you guess what that might be? No? Well, get a life, and watch this!

After watching this I feel that you would have to be pretty unhappy to know this existed and you didn’t see it !  Vince  Gil is the dominant force here….the glue so to speak, to hold this together. Eric Clapton is the fulcrum,  and each guitarist on this stage performs flawlessly! And Keith Richards…what can be said?  He just always hits the best notes at the perfect time.  Man, I hope I can have that embedded precision  when I reach his seniority! Talk about thick!
